Participation in the II Bekker Programme Gala

On 12 March 2026, I had the privilege of participating in the II Bekker Programme Gala, organized by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). During the ceremony, laureates of the 8th edition of the Mieczysław Bekker Programme were officially recognized for receiving prestigious scholarships enabling them to conduct research in leading scientific institutions worldwide.

I am honored to be among the laureates of this edition and particularly pleased to have received the Bekker scholarship for the second time, having previously been a laureate of the 5th edition of the programme.

The event took place at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and gathered distinguished Polish researchers representing a wide range of scientific disciplines. The ceremony was opened by Dr. Wojciech Karczewski, Director of NAWA, and Dr. Eng. Marcin Kulasek, Minister of Science and Higher Education.

The Bekker Programme supports the international mobility of outstanding Polish researchers by enabling them to conduct research projects and collaborate with leading academic teams abroad. The programme is named after Mieczysław Bekker, a renowned Polish engineer and scientist who co-developed the Lunar Rover, symbolizing the ambition and global impact of Polish science.

In the 8th edition of the programme, scholarships were awarded to 109 researchers. The most frequently selected destinations include the United States, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Italy. The funded projects span a wide range of disciplines, including natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, and the humanities.

As one of the laureates, I will spend two years conducting research at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. This research stay will allow me to collaborate with international teams and further develop my research in a global scientific environment.

The Bekker Programme has already supported nearly 1,000 Polish researchers across eight editions, enabling them to conduct research in more than 40 countries worldwide and establish long-term collaborations with leading academic institutions.

Participating in the gala marked an inspiring moment and the beginning of an important international stage of my research career.
