Forgiveness, Emotions, and Attention: Reflections from the 20th Annual Meeting of the Polish Social Psychological Society
September 12, 2025
Today, I had the pleasure of presenting my research at the 20th Annual Meeting of the Polish Social Psychological Society, hosted by Vizja University. In my talk, I explored how an offender’s emotional expression — whether a happy, neutral, or sad face — can influence the tendency to forgive. I also discussed how dispositional forgiveness differentiates attentional orientation toward happy, neutral, and sad faces. The meeting provided not only a platform to share these findings but also an inspiring environment to exchange ideas with fellow researchers and practitioners in the field of social psychology. It was a truly enriching experience that reinforced the importance of studying forgiveness and emotional processes in social interactions.
