Inauguration of the Chair of Positive Psychology: Well-Being in a World of Contemporary Challenges
On April 16, the Chair of Positive Psychology at Ignatianum University in Cracow, entrusted to me, was officially inaugurated. The opening was marked by the symposium “Sources of Well-Being in a World of Contemporary Challenges,” which provided a platform for scholarly reflection on the determinants of psychological resilience and contemporary understandings of well-being in a world shaped by tension and overload.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who accepted my invitation and contributed their valuable and thought-provoking presentations: Prof. Dariusz Krok, Dr Stanisław Radoń, Michał Kowalski, MSc, Prof. Anna Kwiatkowska, Prof. Halina Grzymała-Moszczyńska, Prof. Karol Konaszewski, Dr Edyta Charzyńska, Prof. Janusz Surzykiewicz, and Patrycja Uram, MSc.
Their presence, expertise, and engagement contributed to a high-level academic discussion on well-being—understood not only in terms of happiness, but also meaning, relationships, and the capacity to effectively navigate the complexities of contemporary life.
