Hello, I’m Assoc. Prof. Sebastian Binyamin Skalski-Bednarz.

I’m dedicated to exploring how forgiveness supports resilience, well-being, and meaningful connection.

🇺🇸 I am an Associate Professor at Ignatianum University in Cracow, Poland, and an affiliated researcher at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in Germany. My academic work focuses on the spiritual and psychosocial dimensions of forgiveness and their relevance to human flourishing, resilience, and health. I explore forgiveness not only as a personal and emotional process but also as a cultural, relational, and clinical phenomenon—particularly in the context of chronic illness, trauma, and spiritual coping. My broader research interests include the psychology of religion, environmental psychology, moral functioning, and the psychophysiology of emotion regulation. I collaborate with scholars across Europe and North America and have led or contributed to international projects funded by the European Union, the Polish National Science Center, and the Templeton World Charity Foundation. In addition to research, I am actively involved in mentoring students, organizing academic events, and promoting science communication. My work is grounded in an interdisciplinary perspective that integrates scientific rigor with human meaning, compassion, and transformative potential.

Współpracuję z badaczami z Europy i Ameryki Północnej, uczestnicząc w projektach finansowanych m.in. przez Unię Europejską, Narodowe Centrum Nauki oraz Templeton World Charity Foundation.

I am open to academic cooperation and interested in
